You are talking about nudity not porn. Nudity is quite normal, but porn is not.
I am neither talking about nudity nor porn. I am talking about adult content and additional adult content added by modders. NSFW stuff which is usually shielded from kids by media, ie: Adult :/
Warcraft 3 also has nudity, Harpies for example or.. human sorceress, banshee and so on.
Yes, so is the Wc3:FT main menu. Its a giant dick rising outta the ocean, isn't it amigo? Kidding...Harpies, banshees have barbie doll like bodies, which have the form but not the 'points of interest' lol. No nipples and genitals. You should know that this is not considered nudity by modern standards.
Special mention for Baldur Gate which is roleplaying game so not that hard to imagine that some players wanted pornographic campaigns.
Did you just associate rpgs with porn and called rpg players porn addicts. explain more....why would 'some players want porn campaigns'.
Besides most wc3 players seem to be from anywhere but USA so puritanical upbringing is a joke.
Puritanical thought, not the church and who told you that the puritans are restricted to USA.
I admit I was wrong for Fallout though modding to add "more nasty stuff" doesn't sound that interesting to me.
interesting to you...duh uh, it was made years ago when games ran on 128 MB RAM. You havn't even played fallout 2, have you? The atmosphere the story....that mod was made to make it all more darker. The mod was approved by Chris and team and was mentioned in the fallout bible. That was what the designers had intended but could not implement because of that damned game rating thing. Puhleez don't speak shit about stuff you don't know about!
I was mostly aiming at his mentioning of Quake and Doom (hence why I said most and not all). Still no example of RTS which was my main point.
Okay seriously sit up and take notice, its not just a RTS no more. Its all sortta maps circulating the web these days. The thread itself was about adult content in wc3 maps...you lost or something pal? The entire thread had examples of maps with adult content. I will add another for your
interest.
But honestly why is it "mature" anyway? It is in my opinion more childish to want pornographic content from pixel textured games.
If you rephrase porn to Erotica, it becomes Art. An art form that explores human sexuality and sometimes depravity. Erotica can exist even in novels and poetry, so one doesn't necessarily need to see the act to enjoy it. And if it can exist in literature then why should games be left behind. Sometimes erotica is introduced to add other dimensions to art. Erotica can be comic, it can be satirical as well as horrifying. It is only limited by ones creativity as any other form of art. Now most sexual content that is made for games or added later by modders is not upto the standard of being called art eg: all the silly nude mods and sex games which exist for no other reason than to fappity fap! but sometimes there is one gem in a sea of coals which shines distinctly.
You clearly havn't played fallout nor the Baldurs gate module I had mentioned or you would have known. Fallout even had some text based sex scenes. There was also a perk-- Kama Sutra Master, which made you a masterful in bed. As far as I remember new Reno also had porn studio where you could participate in a porn flick but it was all part of the game, nothing felt out of place. It wasn't GTA, it wasn't put there for the eye candy but to show how human society had dwindled into a cesspool of immorality. Infact this was my primary reason to bring fallout.
Okay this is too advanced a subject for a thread like this and I would not like to stretch it any further. Adult content in mods or wc3 maps should not be a problem, as blizzard has not laid any guidelines about the kind of stuff that can be generated from the world editor. It is the hiveworkshop rules that prevent folks from uploading such maps, content here. Otherwise I am sure there would be plenty of such stuff overflowing the map, skin, model section. Its just that the owner wants the site to be work safe, but I hope some creative liberty can be allowed. After all we don't want to morally judge art, do we?
also, sorry for going on like this but speaking about sex and representations of sexuality in media is a kinda...hobby of mine :\
