The most accurate simulation of the human brain to date has been carried out in a Japanese supercomputer, with a single second’s worth of activity from just one per cent of the complex organ taking one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers 40 minutes to calculate.

It's just layers and layers of simulations all the way.

Though the one convincing proof against this world being a simulation is the existence of irrational numbers. But maybe the simulation just makes us think that they exist, while they actually don't.

How so?

Mathematics is a purely theoretically concept that exists only in our minds; it isn't a "real thing". Irrational numbers (an infinity of them) are merely a consequence of our number system.
