Seems a lotta the posts i read here ppl talk about preventing memory leaks.. and im wondering.. what is it? whats the bad thing that goes with it?

And..
If i have a variable with an array number over 8000.. is that bad?

leaks?

imagine... if every unit in a melee game that, after dying, was teled and revived to a corner of the map ( and owned by Neutral )... it would get kinda laggy after a while

thats the same thing with leaks - if you dont tell an SFX, loc, etc to 'die', itll just sit around taking up computer speed.
