How to put/remove frames in icon!?

Hey! Hello hive members! Im here to ask on how to put and remove frames on icons because Im planning to make an icon!

The only way to actually "remove" borders would be to create a 64x64 pixel layer, purely black, and cut out the 56x56 middle (or simply use PAS borders with above application).

I highly doubt that this will be of any use though, except if you plan on doing additional versions of an existing BTN-only icon (for personal usage only of course).
