how can i fix a local area network problem

i have gotten a sudden network problem on one of my pcs that prevents it from finding other pcs on the local area network though it can still go online. other pcs is also unable to see it. it is also unable to connect through writing the ip address.

Maybe it is not physically plugged in or your LAN cable is broken.

you can fix it by using your brain to at least normal level and using your favorite search engine to dig some answers

it is easier to get help through a forum and this is the only forum i am a member of that can help me. trying to dig up a solution also failed last time i tried. it must be plugged in in order to go online and it does get online. it now works in gaming but filesharing still does not work.(it is not found by other pcs on the network.)

Maybe you must assign a static IP to your PC and/or your local network.

Device Manager -> Delete LAN connection -> Scan for hardware changes -> wait for LAN adapter to be automatically installed -> input IP -> wait for new network popup and select the scan automatically option

i do not have a driver cd and the network card requires drivers that is not available in windows though they are currently installed.

when we finally find a solution for your problem, you find some magical shit that will just cause it to not work.

Is that a coincidence?

realtek cards are notoriously difficult to find drivers for but, it is unlikely that reinstalling the card will fix the problem. driver based problems generally prevents it from working at all but the only problem i have is filesharing.
