Well, I don't know where to put it. It's neither. That's why it also has Misc tag. Maybe I'll put both tags. It's too different for Alt Melee.

Altered Melee includes melee even if the game loses most of WcIII mechanic traces.

But it also has many Strategy elements - extended techtrees, tech advancement, advanced technology, global weapons, nukes, changed resources, there is no gold in its usual form, bosses, neutral units; the map doesn't have normal attack paths, but you have to cut trees or use flying units; free choice in base placement, teleportation, caves, workforce, tanks, and many other things. Melee is a term strictly limited to Warcraft, it's a type of Strategy game that Warcraft uses, and this map has many elements of the normal Strategy games, while it also retains some of the Melee elements of Warcraft - so it has both tags.

So what exactly are Strategy maps, the like of Rome: Total War or like Rise of Nations/Supreme Commando, or both? Is there anywhere an explanation?
