Question bout ps2 and ps1

I wanna play some of my old ps1 games but don't have the ps1. All of them work perfectly ok but i can't save.

any ideas why?

My ps2 games save with no problems but ps1 games don't save.

It says that the memory card isn't there.

I used the ps2 8 mb sony memory card with the new slim ps2.

Any help would be appreciated.

are you using a PS1 memory card for the PS1 games and PS2 memory card for the PS2 games? if ya not it would kind of help if ya did

Using ps2 memory card for ps1 and ps2 games..

Anyone have any idea of a store where i can get a Ps1 memory card. Ebay is ym last option but i'd like to see if theres anything else before going there because buying stuff on ebay is very frustrating..

Im not sure what shops you have were you are but have yous got K-mart or Electronics botique (sp?) they would most likely have one but dont get ya hopes up
