Rules & Guidelines specific for the Challenge Section
Since most people weren't capable of using this section properly, we made these new rules & guidelines specifically for this section in order to make it work the best possible way.
Use this section to challenge another member of the Hive Workshop.
A “challenge” is a optional user activity that consists of a lesser warcraft 3 modding competition (as well as external modding of the game e.g. texturing, modeling etc.) between two users using a variety of modding knowledge to tussle with each other to decide which one is “the best” at the chosen theme for the contest.
Guidelines:
- Approval of competition
To avoid any inappropriate challenges, the contest must be approved by the administrators of The Hive Workshop. You seek to get your challenge approved by posting it - using this form - in the Admin Contact forum. It is not certain that your contest will be approved, in which case the administrators will explain why.
- “I Accept Your Challenge!”
Once you have gotten your challenge approved, it’s time to “challenge” a user.
Before a contest can begin, the adversary must accept the challenge and confirm his/her decision to the administrators. A contest cannot commence until the provocateur have gotten a clear valid accept from the concerned user.
- Multiple Competitors
A challenge should preferably consist of 2 combatants, although in some special cases additional participants are permitted to a certain limit.
- Participation Limits
Each user may participate in only one challenge per month.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!!! – There are conditions & consequences when participating in a challenge, which should be carefully observed.
- The reputation points awarded to the victor of a challenge is dependent on what the Challenger chooses but may be no more than +20.
- The loser of a challenge will lose the total amount of -5 reputation points (so think twice when accepting a challenge).
- If any participant resigns from a challenge, he or she will automatically lose -5 reputation points.
So, there is no turning back once entered.
- The victor will not be awarded with the +20 reputation points should his or her opponent resign.
