If you want i could make the cars from either the minecart.mdx (right name?) or from scratch~~ and I would be able to texture/rig/animate too (they will have peps!)

Also would you like that flag to be "plastered" to the front of the coaster cars?

Not Attached to the roller coaster. They will just be on the ground like a normal flag.

I was hoeing to get that in every player color.

Meaning everything the same except the blue part change to the correct colors. The brown stick would stay brown ect.
Or something just like it. I really like how that banner looks.

If there was a way to put something to plastered to the front or the side of the carts that would be of each player color.
Maybe a X or a stripe or something i don't care something cool.

That would be cool. Not required but would be cool.

But i don't think i want all the carts to be 100% different colors. something like the flag idea, where just part of it changes color.

FYI: I will expect to have a working version where The main parts will work By The end of Dec, or sooner.

for the animations would you like the wheels to turn and people jumping?


EDIT: and how do you plan on making it stay on the track?
EDIT2: like the walk animation that follows a predetermined track?

Hmm, I would just say perhaps the wheels turn, would be rad.

For the people jumping i am against that idea for the moment.

I Plan to Rebuild the same system I used for my train game. and modify it some.
But basically it gos to the start point of the track x,y and then gos to then next start point of the next track. They Z value i am not 100% certain how i will do, but i have a few ideas.

It will be much easier then my train game except for the Z value because there is a set path.

For more detail just ask and ill tell you in full detail.

And more or less for the 2ed question.

z value would be easy but the tilting of the track... like loops and stuff

that hill.. how could that be done?

When you say tilt its hard to know what you mean. if you mean tilt, up and down then i just have a 7 tracks and move then or rotate them s needed.

If you meant tilt as in side ways so the thing spins you, but more like your going stright but your track is side ways. then that i have put off for a possible future update, but that just requires more models. This time around i tryed to cut everything i could, but still keeping the game possible of doing loops and turns and going under it self ect.

But i think i know what you mean.

You just have 7 differnt types of tracks . that change 15 degrees. Then i can use them for everything.

In theory i could do it with 4. but 7 will make it easy. Look at my picture, on the 2ed page of this thread. it has a circle picture showing how i use the pieces to make it.


No worries everything on your picture will be possible. (I have decided though this time around to not worry about the polls holding up the Tracks, They are very possible to add latter but i fear it would just be... A a pain to do, B Take up to much resources)

Ah that could be a problem.

Let the me think on that one. I hadn't thought about that.

I know you can rotate them left and right. I think you can rotate them doing upside down in game, I have heard of things where they can do a back flip With triggers. But i could be off. Worse comes to worse. the cart wont rotate and it will have to be more like a ball. But i can figure that out when i get to it.

I found possible way of doing it, and thats to just not have the carts move at all, But if i do that ill have to force a camera mode on them and not let them, but i bet ill can figure that out.

Here, im not doing the exact size, except for the total distance, it shouldnt be bad ingame....
(proper sizes, but still only 3 rails, and there a little stretched)

All Of them Look Great. Only thing missing is that 7th one. thats 90 degrees.Is the same as the first one but just straight up and stead of flat.

Hmm i should have just asked for it more like the way you did it, and not scared everyone with my 3 drawings. You are a wise one. +rep


I have started working on it and as soon as i get far enough to show a decent amount of work done on the game, you and Mario 64, can check it out if your interested, as both of you have done chucks of the game. (Most likely about 2-3 weeks down the road, depending on if my girl friend will let me work on it for a few weekends straight.)
But the build ill probably show you guys will just show the concepts working, but not all nice, with features, that stuff will be done much farther down the road.

look in the object editor at the rotation (max and min) and see exactly what that does...

I could make a front, body and back that could be held together by triggers and that would roll up and down nice

Camera would be good so that you "follow" your car like you car on a real coaster!

EDIT: how do you plan an moving from one track to another, you need a transposition piece (like a curve) and how do you plan on turning the track?

i think heees planing on useing ingame rotation...., as for the engine for this, i would very much like to see it, once its further along :P. like haveing the coaster follow the track, and are you planing for the coaster, to gain speed, as it goes downward, and slow down, as it goes straight, and upward. also, will the triggers auto-add "Chains" to pull coasters up hills they couldnt otherwise make it, i could see this game being beyond epic....

Isnt my model :P, although personally, i woulda made the side tracks square, insteada cylinder, or i would made em 2d and lock the planes on the axis XD
