what items to add

If you do a poll, think about how to read the result:
only add 'i like this' kinda items automatically says, that the voter does not like (that much) the other items. Maybe adding a 'abstain' and/or a 'i do not like the selection' item to catch those who do like to vote, but do not like your items.
The ideal poll for the question you did would look like this (in my opinion):

"Which race do you prefer?"

• Goblin

• None

(i only did as i could recall)

I hope this teaches you a little about doing polls - i voted for trolls, but would have voted for "undead" if it had been possible.
