I see it comes with a flash drive with the first starcraft on it... (hmm i have a few of those already

) Does this mean you get two new Cd keys... seeing as how blizzard gives lan the finger.

You get 2 new SC1 CD keys. The game has nearly no retail value outside Korea so they can afford to litterally give them away.

The battle chest (which includes both strategy guides and shit) was like $20 when I bought my second copy of SC, in 2005. Probably around 5 dollars now.

By the by, collector editions are ~~usually~~ always priced higher than they should be. Its okay if you really want the shit they are giving out, but do know that you are getting moderately ripped off for the value of what you are getting.

However when the edition is nolonger made and the game is popular the items have the potential to appreciate in value. Especially if SC2 lasts as long as SC1 did as an Esport.

sc1 sells for 8 dollars, and 20 in battlechest.

A side note though, wc3 costs 20-30 AUD and 50-70 for battlechest...

some people, like myself, are simply game sollectors and will always spend the extra cash even if they know its not worth it initially.

On the other hand, that's gonna be REALLY valuable over the next years. Since Starcraft is no longer produced, it's gonna be REALLY wanted.

I think it's not produced and sold... at least.

Yes so discs of it will gain in price. You can buy the game from blizzard still via battlenet 2.0 and install from that.

Also, places like gog exist which pretty much prevent old games from being valuable.

I think I already got ripped off with standard edition, but if I had money I would got Collector's edition. And by ripped off I'm not saying game isn't worth it but it's really too much. And the game is awesome so I'm not crying about my cash!!!
