Well, I don't really know much about medieval ships, mostly because, at least I think, naval warfare was not really seen during that time. I'm pretty sure that normal, rowed galleys were still used, because Cogs only had one mast. Even tough they were bigger and sturdier, they probably couldn't have been used in amphibious warfare and all that. Maybe cogs could be heavier, slower battleships, strong against galleys, and galleys could transport men, and be much faster. Also, I think carracks already started to appear during the 14th century
