I tried pulling up Urbandictionary to help me but it turns out they have failed me and thus I have to provide my own impressions. FUCK.

Wanker is a rather British insult which literally means "one who masturbates" but is mostly used in a metaphorical sense. The main connotation, I believe, is that you could rub one off to your own reflection; arrogance, selfishness and delusions of grandeur, basically.
