Orb Absorb

Information | What is it? Orb Absorb is a small, mini-game like map. It was made in approximately 2 hours as a "speed map". I am now continuing to modify it!
What's the goal? To obtain the most points. The first one to reach the goal value wins. Players points are kept track of in the leaderboard. You can choose from Standard mode, where you use a ranged ability to absorb the orbs, or PacMan Mode, where you just run around and if you hit an orb you absorb it. You can Zap! your opponents to stun them temporarily.
=:=:= Green Orbs: 1 point. Blue Orbs: 3 points. Gold Orbs: 5 points. - - - - - - Red Orbs: -5 points. =:=:=
Later on I'll modify the game so you can set different goal values, as it is currently set at 100 points.
How many players? Up to 8 players can play Orb Absorb.
Where can I get it? You can get it at the bottom of this post. I plan on eventually submitting it.
It sucks. Well, leave me feedback on this thread on how I can improve the game! Keep in mind it is essentially a mini-game, and that I will be still working on it. |

Well that's a cute little game. But instead of red being +5 it should be negative, or make add a negative valued orb. I think maybe being more like pacman would be fun, so that you just run around into the orbs to collect them.

Yea, I was thinking a PacMan Mode would be pretty sweet. I would just have the host choose from a Dialog if the game should be Standard Mode or PacMan mode.
Another idea I had is that orbs contribute to mana and you have to channel it all into something, but I'd still need to flesh that idea out.

If you need any help with triggers or anything I'd be glad to help. I also like the channel idea. Just have some sort of magic crystal unit that you channel it in to.

Looks fun. Orbs giving negative points is a good idea I think, but I don't really know about the pacman style idea.

imo it would be funnier if you just need to walk towards orbs, not to use that spell.

I just tested it, they take off 5.
And now we have v2a, as I was silly and forgot to make it so a variable lowered when you killed an orb. Now it's possible to win when playing with multiple people.

Blood, I just tested it on 2a in PacMode, and it subtracted 5 each time I hit a red.
If it happens again, replay?

It was kinda fun when we played. It was too hard to absorb them though.

How was it too hard? You only have to get in 200 range of an orb to absorb it.

Yes, but you couldn't click on them and move to absorb them. You had to click twice to get close enough.

Ahh. Is there a gameplay constant that I can change so that you move close enough? Otherwise I can't really fix that.
