Map and camera bounds
  Every time I try the increase my map's map and camera bounds I get the :you must increase the bounds by a multiple of 32 in both dimensions. message so my question is why do I get this message if you can only increase the boundaries by 32 units at any time?

well you gotta make it a little bigger, hit okay. if it still comes up, make the map a little bigger, hit okay. keep doin this till the msg doesnt come up.i think every 8 clicks of makeing it bigger the msg wont come up, and the map will reformat its self to that big. so sadly the map cant be just ANY map size, but u can still make it a little bigger. if you are a n00b, try only doing the width first, and the height second *if your doing both*, that will make it less confusing.

I think way gates are neutral passive units. Uhh.... Units... neutral passive... buildings. I think. Aye, just double checked, its there.

Alright.... units palette... the next thign down will be changed to neutral passive, then it should be right under the headings "Buildings"

Place the way gate down where you want it, then double click on it. The unit propertiest tab will show up and your good.

Oh, woooooooow, that was really obvious I feel like a moron. You wouldn't happen to know where to find zombie models would you?
I also need a way to make it so that the start location doesn't put the town hall, ancient or other peasantish producing structure

The zombie model from wc3? In Campaign perhaps. Look around neutral.
Or custom ones? Tassadoom made some sweet ones. You can chack them out at wc3campaigns.

I did all I found were the Undead zombies which will work but I wan one that look like the villagers.

Ive seen zombies that look like villagers in a map, but I dont have any links to them, sorry. About the starting area, in the triggers there should be a trigger named initialization or something, you can just deleted that whole thing. Its for melee maps and since your making a custom one, you dont need it.
