I'm assuming it means my Internet has disconnected. But everything else continues to work properly.

It's the server, somehow.... I really don't know what's involved. It will probably take Samuraid or Ralle to clarify this one.

I get this now and then when browsing, when I talked to Samuraid about this, he simply said the Mail server timed out for a blip in time, and is typically functional and normal.

Yes, that message will appear when the main server (jack) has a problem connecting to the mail server (kate). At the next available opportunity, I'll see what I can find about this.
