Icon Moderators
While I was looking through the Pending Icons...I noticed that there are 291 still pending icons...one is even still from November 14th, 2004: BTNVirus by Pins. Most of the icons that are still in moderation are from 2005, that can't be good, people work hard (kind of) to make these icons and they put their souls into it and there's practically no one who accepts them. I beleive that we need more icon moderators so that we can have it so that there aren't so many icons that are waiting to break free of their "Pending" prisons, and I, myself, would feel like that the work I was putting into the icons I make and to have to wait for more than 4 years just to get it Approved, I would feel sad and angry because 'why must I wait so long?'.

If your going to make a comment on someone's post and you think it "sucks" or it "kisses your rear" think about the...
Variables
A) You've got no reason to make fun of someone's post...How would you feel? and...
B) Instead of saying useless things like "your a moron" think about how you think it "sucks" and change it into CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISISM

I know...but I'm also concerning about this issue of that these poor icons must have to wait for so long just to be approved...

Then you shouldn't have posted "wanting to be an icon moderator" in this thread. By asking to be a moderator, you totally discredit your other main points. I suggest editing the moderator request part out and make this a topic strictly about icons from 2k4, then requesting to be a moderator in the proper forum.

We all know that there are pending icons, the skins section was the same a month ago. The pending status is only a label meaning that the resource may not work properly. It doesn't mean you can't download it or the icon is no good.

I don't think Ralle accepts moderator applications anymore. I think he picks them instead. But we do need icon moderators.

I'm pretty sure the admins (or directors, yeah right) pick out people and THEN ask them to fill out the application form.
Anyway, that's what happened to me.

Yeah, as HINDY etc said. You technically are asked if you want to be a moderator, then you accept/reject, if you accept then you're sent the form, then you fill it out, then you post it, then you're in. It predates the director system, when it was a full admin vote to allow someone in.

Besides all this, it isn't really up to you to nominate yourself. And an icon being "Pending" really doesn't matter. While it takes time to make it takes time to approve it also.

Since LiOneSS has been appointed as Icon Moderator, I've noticed the number of pages of pending icons has been steadily decreasing.
