Texturing competition

Make a pack of command buttons with one specific theme, thought it would be cool and a break from skinning models. Or we could make it a completely new contest. Post Comments.

Hrm... how about the icons for 3 spells and an Ultimate?

Well you are talking about icons. An icon competition would be cool but icons and skins are different. And I think there should be seperate competitions for them. If you want to try and get people to do an icon competition you should come up with more of a theme. How about starcraft icons?

Ok so here is the theme

Create 15 Icons to support a techtree of a race.

You may choose one of the following races-
-Protoss
-Terran
-Zerg
-Gnoll
-Ent
-Satyr
-Demons

Your techtree must include:
1 Ranged Unit
2 Melee Units
3 Melee Upgrades that build upon eachother ex: Lv1 Lv2 Lv3
3 Ranged Upgrades that build upon eachother ex Lv1 Lv2 Lv3
4 Spells
1 icon up to you may be a Unit Spell Or Upgrade

All submissions must be your work and done after the date of the contest.
All submissions must fit the regular icon submission guidlines
All work must be at least 75% freehand the other 25% may be taken from existing icons.

15 icons? Well I doubt many people would be that committed to the competition. And quite a bit of time would be needed. How about just hero spells for a specific race? Just 4 icons.

well. 15 icons is about = to a skin b/c you dont have to worry about wraping and such.

Well to my recolection icon contests are usually 4-6 icons (might be mistaken though).

Ok ok, How about a whole hero,

3 Spells
1 Ultimate
1 Hero Icon
1 Lead Atrib Icon

The contest would be based on existing heroes in WC3 or WC3TFT So for example I could do a farseer and for earthquake, it could be a crack in the ground. And For Intel since that is the farseers atrib, It could be a brain with glasses lol.

Thats better then 15.

As far as I know thats something reserved for a moderator. Hence the "mod" part.

You might want to work on the theme more. So far it isn't very interesting.

Ok ok why isnt it interesting It would be fun, I mean to see what people do with old things and anyways Its light on icons and would have a central theme

Without a catchy theme your not likely to get many people interested.

Ok what hero has the shittiest icons? We can center the contest around that guy.
