i got the skins imported into the war3.mpq what i did was backup the origonal nlp's and then delete them and upload the new ones and made name correct. this works fine the skins look awesome but i just hosted my map and my friends see the same old skins? not the new one's i put there is this because i am susposed to not delete the old ones but rather change the place where the model file looks for the skins? i dont know but after all the hard work i thought i had it but dont

Wether you have RoC or not, neve mess around with the War3.mpq. Now you are going to have to reinstal the game.

If you want to import a file, open your map (the map that you made, nothing else) with WinMPQ (File->Open and choose your map) and import the files into your map that way with the correct path. That's all. What you did was change the skin of the game to something else only on your computer.

Oh, and please don't post the same question more than once in different sections. If it can it will be answered the first time.

Sorry For Reposting =( i tried opening the map with winmpq and puting the skins in thier correct path etc units\human\jania\jania.blp but my friends still dont see the updated skins is this because i am using the same path and file name that warcraft normally uses or am i puting them in the wrong place
oh btw i backed up my the whole war3 dir before i started doing anything so other than the pathing i got this wraped up now on to a easier question i was looking for the steam tank blp for humans and i cant find it and i also cant find the blp for pesant i am looking at the very bottom of the mpq units\human\ i dont see them
