Hello everyone!
Due to lack of moderation in the maps section, I have updated the maps script so when you've submitted your map it will be put in the moderation queue (as usual). But if it wasn't approved within 3 days, it will be shown on the list though it is still in need of moderation.
That way we will be a step behind and you won't feel it.

Personaly im against this three day wait before approval.
People should be more patient, i mean whats a little wait...
If your going to keep with this auto approval system i think it should be two weekes before approval, i mean how is a mod going to test a map within three days of uploading if there are several maps waiting before it? If you make it 2 or 3 weeks then mods might be able to work through the bulk but what they cant test will be temporarily approved just so people dont get too impatient...
Thats my opinion...

how about an "innocent until proven guitly" approach? add every map instantly and the mod is informed of what maps are added and can aprrove or dissaprove them. approved ones are left or given an "aprroved by *mod name*" and disapproved ones are deleted?

or perhaps all maps should be added instantly, but there are 3 (or more) days for a mod to approve them until they are removed with a PM to the user saying their map was not approved.

I like that approach, although i dont agree with deleting if not approved in X days as mods may be busy and good maps will not be approved, leaving mappers dicouraged.

If this goes on, some people might be uploading random maps that are not even counted as maps. Check out the old WC3Sear map list and you will see what I mean. There are like things that can be deleted instantly without having to be checked...
My suggestion is the following:
The Nether Three Stages of Eternal Map Approval: (Working title)

1.) Trash Filtering
Have one or two people to check wether it's a certain trash or not.
No more discussion needed, that trash is deleted instantly.

2.) Quality Preview
Then, the first play tests, where you can do it alone and start taking attention to things like:
Gameplay? Potential? Creativity?
A map where you don't know what to do after 10 years would have failed the Gameplay part, a map which doesn't seem to be fun at all would have no Potential, and another Tower Defense with other models and names would not pass the Creativity check.
Every map passed the second Stage can stay on the list for futher discussion.

3.) Final Review
At last, you might have to play it in multiplayer, where you check the Balance and Fun Factor.

Will there be any Director's Choice maps here?
Good idea! I might set that up!

I will also make it so you can add a map to favorites
Most of this is my fault, I appologize. I recently had to reformat my hardrive and my installed copy of wc3 was lost. my disks are in the mail from my old home as we speak, so soon I'll have wc3 reinstalled and will be able to check a great deal of maps regularly.
