Is there a way to add cooldown? or keep the cooldown?

I mean it should work like item ability. The cooldown wont reset even if you drop it.
This could be done by adding dummy spell that does nothing and replace it later with real spell. Is there simpler way to do it?

Just hide them....
Have 2 spells. lets say Water and Fire.
If Hero uses Water, then CD starts, u hide this ability and
the Fire abilit apears, Now he uses the Fire and Fire gets CD.
It switches back , but the unit has to wait because the water ability still
is in cd.
There is a Function to do this:
When u Cast Holy Shild, it will remove it and u gain
Holy light etc
Have 2 spells. lets say Water and Fire.
If Hero uses Water, then CD starts, u hide this ability and

is in cd.
