i'm not sure about this thing but you could try it: give the unit locust and spawn it with inferno ability

you know chaos ability used to automaticly morph some units (troll berserker, siege engine and orc units in campaign)
make a chaos that morphs unit to itself
if a unit with locust aiblity morphs to a unit without locust ability
it will be unselectable but someone can attack it and it will collide (not %100 sure about colliding but sure about attackable)
