Is there anything wrong? I just said not to revive threads, that is all. Dead threads stay dead, and if you find a thread you'd like to comment in and it's old, then don't. Threads are revived for a valid reason (useful info, updates, important questions etc.), not for comments and trivial things.
 
It's the same purpose as of having it being in your terms "dead" and being a "live" topic, takes up as much space so there shouldn't complaining on one topic being revived. Like anyone will post here anyway it will just go back to the second page.
