You can't host maps with custom made models/doodads/etc on B.Net or LAN ...Well you can on LAN if you have this one tool.
 
Well.. I dont know don't ask me.. they dont use custom models......

For Battleship Pro, they probably used an ingame texture for the Submarine

BTW, some people on this website hate DoTA so... don't go around asking people
 
Shaynne, you're completely wrong. You can host any map customly on battle.net as long as it has two players, and is under 4 MB's in file size, Otherwise there wouldn't be any need for compressors, really, and every custom map would have ninety custom models or skins in it >.>
