Mod to pause like in Age of Empires?

Hello.
I am fan of Age of Empires 2 and Mythology and I was looking for new good RTS games. I play all games alone.

I want to know if there is a mod that allow to pause the game, move the camera and give orders to each unit while it is paused.
It is possible to do in Age of Empires and I cannot play any RTS games without it, because many things happen simultaneously.

I tried to play Warcraft 3, but I stopped after a short time. I do not want to buy StarCraft 2 if I will not like to play it.

StarCraft 2 may be interesting, I saw some great mods in Youtube, including Diablo and FF.

Half the skill needed to play games like StarCraft II and WarCraft III are micromanagement skills. Although you could probably emulate the system through trigger script, which causes the game to slow to a stop rather than pause, it defeats the purpose of the game.

This is the difference between playing a game tool assisted and real time. I can play any Mario game like a "pro" if I slow it down and undo my mistakes. If I play the same game in real time I look like a real idiot.
 
Games like Mario have only one character to control per time and it does not need to pause.

I think that games with multiple units are not good to play without pause.
I may need to lead multiple armies and I may be attacked by multiple sides.
