Ability is Being Cast as long as Hotkey is being Pressed

I am trying to make a WASD movement system using abilities and their hotkeys. Is it possible to use a chanelling ability or a buff ability to do this? I know its possible if you are creative.

As always, I am thankful for any help I can get

Maybe try with UMSWE, there You can do "tap" and "release" any key.

With WE or JNGP, you can not detect the release of other keys than arrow keys.

Is this the only possibility? How did they do in in RtC?

RtC is actually an enhancement of the editor that works externally. In order to be playable in multiplayer, all players should have this installed in the Wc3 directory.
