Alright, yet another issue. While playing Frozen Throne & Reign of Chaos, I noticed that they had different units (steam tank <> seige engine, catapult <> demolisher, etc.). Intrigued, I searched for the old units (steam tank, catapult, etc.) in the world editor. I found nothing. Next I checked the models, and again, nothing. I also tried using the path provided in OinkerWinkles' "Steam Tank Wreckage" tutorial, but this had been replaced with the seige engine.

Is there any way to get these old units & their icons?

Yes, there is a way. In the Object Editor, when editing a unit, I believe there is a data field under the "model" data field. For units that changed between RoC and TFT, the field will say something like "Frozen Throne". If you double click on it, I believe you can unselect Frozen Throne and select Reign of Chaos. This should change the model. If it doesn't work, please tell me, and I can check for you when I get back to my own computer (as this one does not have WC3 on it). I do know there is a way, I'm just not positive this is it.

Thank you both. I do appologize for responding late, but I posted this right before I went to bed in hopes that I would receive an answer in the morning. Anyways, thanks, I'll see if this works.

Okay, yes it does. Unfortunately, this does not affect the icon, is there any way to retreive that (the icon)

Thank you Angry Bovine, would you happen to know that threads name? Again, I do appologize for responding so late. Anyway, I'll look around, gimme a haller (spelling?) if you have any information regarding this. Thanks again, happy editing.

There are many icons that you can find, however, certain paths were overwritten. The only two I know of are the Glyph of Purification and the Priest. Those two you will have to extract from the war3.mpq file inside your Warcraft III folder.

Here is one:
BTNHeroLich.jpg

ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNHeroLich.blp

The others are easy to find. Just type their original unit name and you'll get the icon. Perhaps you should also see this: "List of hidden material within the World Editor"

Thank you Rui, I do appreciate the link. I discovered the steam tank icon about a day ago, just typing in "steam tank" instead of "warwagon". Again, thanks, I'll be sure to check out that list of hidden material.
