.blp Converter?

What's the quickest and easiest way to convert .jpeg, .gif, etc. files to .blp? It would be quite useful to me for some quick modifications to existing icons.

P.S.; Quick question: Does it make any difference if a file ends with .mdx or .MDX?

I think only .TGA's can convert to blps...

No, tga's support alpha channel which=team colour and transparency, and icons without alpha channel= wont work ingame(green icons).

I highly suggest you use wc3viewer, or open it up and look for BLP converter, just drag the TGA on the exe and it should automatically convert (not sure if it supports alpha). But if not, just manually use wc3 viewer as it can convert more than just tga to blp.

and capitals shouldn't effect it (capitals in the extension).
