I dont think you should put in the sun. Make it just dusk where there isnt a very strong definable light source. If the sun were like how it is then everything would be a silhouette and the shading on those rocks would be all wrong. Or you could make the dragon dude blowing fire to light up the area. Flaming boogers coming out his nose would be equally interesting.
