Yellow, Green, Grey, and Black Fire Traps...

Well, the title sais it all...
I'd need modified fire traps, that are colored in yellow, green, gray, and black... I need these for showing borders in a giant world map in the single player portion of one of my projects, namely Squad Commander. The map will be sectioned into peices that you can conquer, lose, ect, and I'd like to have the border change color when a player takes that zone over....
So, can anyone help mah out?


...oh yeah, I'd also need a white one aswell, for theze zones that were not captured yet...

Can't you just recolor the current fire traps in the Object Editor?

When you use vertex coloring, it doesn't recolor particles.

EDIT: I'll try to make you the fire traps. Do you want the side traps or the ones that shoot up recolored?

An easy way to do this would be to use TC particles, instead of going through and posting each color.

There are tuts on how to do it. Sometimes it will crash maps though.

Everytime I try to TC Particals, it seems to crash. Working on swapping colors atm, but it seems when I import them into Magos' Model Editor, the upward shooting flame part of it doesn't appear. Regardless, I'll alter the color and see if it works in the WE.

It's because Magos doesn't display Tails properly.
And you can't create New particles for TC, i think you have to edit existing ones.

Ahh, s'plains it. Just recolored one green, works fine. When I get them all done, I'll post screenies and if they're fine I'll upload 'em

Yeah, this was real tough.

Black and grey are a little tougher, since they both turn out bright white, but I'll nab 'em.

For now, here's the Yellow, White and Green. They each take 3 KB of mab space .
