World Editor Preview

How's it going, I recently took up modding maybe a month to two months ago, and I became addicted right away to the crisp clean feel of the Editor. I've tested many maps here to see how other modders work, test spells, skins, maps, but I was hoping to find a niffty program that maybe someone has already made or has found. Best I can describe it is:

Say theres a spell in warcraft that you want to edit, but your having a hard time remembering what it exactly does. Instead of opening Warcraft three and playing the spell, unit, anything, is there a 3D spell viewer, unit viewer, anything to that effect? I'd much appreciate it, and I hope to be able to send in a campaign after a while.

Nothing for spells, just open it in WC3, but units you can just preview by placing in the world editor or by using the sidebar window to view the unit when you select it.

Sorry, shoulda been more clear with it, What I wanted to do was create a few custom units, tinker with the editor more or less, Is there a way to preview them WHILE editing the units? To see the different effects and such. As far as spells, theres nothing? No way to see what they do in the editor or any other way?

Nope, just run the good ol' warcraft engine.

Well, Expect one from me, Im working on that right now. Probably only support spells that are already in the game, but I'm working on it now, at this moment . Thanks for the help.

you can make a "Test in Window mode" of right click actions of w3x files
Folder Settings -> File Types -> w3x -> advanced -> add action

Test in Window mode to first blank
"<Warcraft III path>\Frozen Throne.exe" -window -loadfile "%1" to second blank
dont touch the others
press ok and ok and ok

right click a w3x map file click test in window mode
there you go

Where do you do the whole Folder settings? In the Edititor?
By right clicked actions, you mean like movement or all things you can do with right clicking? I'ma try it out right now either way, appreciate it mate.
