wow. Well I'm glad Blizzard isn't ONLY working on WoW and reviving the games that made them what they are today! And on the subject of switching from Wc3 to Sc2 : no. I'm still gunna work on wc3 maps and play wc3 maps a lot even after the release of Sc2 UNLESS Sc2's editor is like 5x better than WorldEditor. At least I can see that Blizzard knows what their audience wants! ^_^

From the screenshots it looks like they're using the same engine as WC3. So maybe the WE will be just as nice?

From the screenshots it looks just like Starcraft, just with better sprites... And the Zealot anim looks like a Demon Hunter recycle :p

As for the graphics, the editor will hopefully be like warcraft III, and here's where you might be interested... Seeing as hpw the Starcraft people look like War3 characters, and Blizzard's using mdl. Do you think, (if the editor has an import system) that we would be able to import the same things into starcraft II that we could in WC3?

they might add some backward compatibilty but i would doubt it because mixing two engines is hard, thats what happened with .bsp files anyways. they might make a convertor for them.

WC3 modding will pretty much die once SC2 comes out...

    mmmmm...

...unless SC2 doesn't have the hero system that WC3 has. Of course they won't put it in the ladder games, but it would be nice if it was included solely for custom maps.

or if people who dont wanna to play sc2 will keep modding, or if people keep modding wc3 for fun, or if sc2 modding sucks.
