Why does this trigger not work? It seems like the simplest thing, but it just gives me nothing. I've tried every trick I could think of.

The Add/Remove stock actions have an annoying issue where they fail to work if the unit/item is already added to the shop by default.

So you'll want to remove those from the shop in the Object Editor.

Thank you for the reply but as it turns out, they are not in the shop by default. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I tried turning them into regular units and having them become available/unavailable but that only kind of worked, but not enough to go with.

Oh well. Off to brainstorm. Thanks.

Have you tried testing it with a more simple design? Maybe since your Integer variables start out at 0 it breaks the trigger when trying to Remove "nothing".

I would test to see if the Actions even work in the first place.

Well I have another trigger that adds units/sets the integer correctly long before this trigger goes of :(
Did the Mercenary Camp has the ability "Sell units"? Because the action of add units to stock warns you that it should.
Yes it does :(
