I bought it:

- because I play ladder and <3 playing /w or vs ppl
- I love strategy games
- I loved Starcraft
- I loved Warcraft 2
- because I loved Diablo
- I loved Diablo 2
- I loved Blizzard classics (Lost Vikings etc...)

Btw LVikings is by Interplay, not Blizzard. Blackthorne is a Blizzard classical Vikings-like arcade game.

I friend game it to me for my 15th birthday. Didn't liked it at first couse my comp was very slow and I couldn't play it in the way it was meant to. Once I bought a stronger comp I started playing, and am a prisoner of it till this day. :)

I bought it long ago in 2004, because I played it in PC club and thought it was awesome. Then I lost it in 2006 when I was moving from one house to another :/ I haven't seen my CD since then. I've been using friend's key andhad a CD image of the original. I also bought it because it was very popular, and I was playing very good ladder when AntraX guy taught me many techniques.

I bought it because a friend of mine found it by accident (His dad had bought it, and he was looking for a game to play one day and he found it. Him and my other friend got playing it pretty seriously, they told me about it, I ended up buying it and we all played very heavily until WoW came out. They got their souls stolen by WoW, I kept playing Wc3.)

My brother had given me a demo of it, and I played it everyday after that, and next thing you know I get wc3 for my bday! It was a very happy day besides its being friday 13th. Also I knew it was bound to be good because i used 2 love wc2, but now that i have wc3 i;ve gone off wc2 as my mouse is 2 sensitive 4 it and is hard 2 control, as long as i have my wc3 i'm happy <3

Supermj dragged me to his house, showed me WC III, then demanded that I buy it. He is also the reason I came here

I have been a fan of Blizzard since Wc1. Really, I can call a segment of my life "The Great Depression... of Purgeandfire" because I awaited World of Warcraft before Warcraft 3x was out. (I think) I awaited it forever and was so lucky to get my paws on it, until I looked and saw the small text "Monthly fees apply after first month" or something like that.

And Private Servers just don't seem the same. (I never tried though :p)

Yeah, Blizzard had some pretty sweet stuff. Wc2 was just amazing because I loved to mass my armies. Wc3 was a huge new thing and I loved it.. Now... I wish I could play WoW but I can't because of the fees. D:

Still, I love wc3 and I hope I will finish an actual map. :p

I bought it because I heard of Blizzard's reputation way back in 2002/2003 when Warcraft 3 was first released. Later i got addicted to the melee game, and later DotA, and i now I like modding maps after I've seen what you can do with the editor in DotA.

Hope the SC2 editor will be even better than Warcraft's one.

Yeah they suck but I like Uwe Boll. No matter how much his movies suck, he keeps making them just to piss gamers off. I find this funny that many gamers are all dramatizing about it.

Warcraft III is always my favorite RTS game. My brother bought the game since it first came out back in July 2002! Battle.net in the old days were good, but still it is good, expect the annoying stupid online players on it though.

The Warcraft III World Editor works like a charm. I enjoyed making random maps and units sometimes. But on the other hand, I prefer doing it with a few people for a map project. Because doing it alone is a pain in the ass and it consumes time. The editor is great originality, creativeness, inspiration, and fun.

I play Battle.net ladders most of the time and custom online games.

The races in WC3 needs more slots and another option for units to become 'Neutral, Aggressive, and Defensive. Also a tab for next slot of advanced buildings rather than one.

The game's engine is really simple and not too complex. But there is no physics in that game.

I have stopped playing WC3 for a quite a while, because I want to take a break from it and now I am back for it!

I have bought WC3 because I loved Wc1, 2 and Starcraft. I remember playing the pirate WC3 Betas way before ROC was released. It was so different, yet good.
I've never purchased TfT because I soon grew tired of 9 out of 10 games having at least one or two leavers/idiots, so I quit WC3 and long after that moved onto WoW which had an awesome mood around it, the music, the terrain, the mood was just great, but Blizzard failed to do real updates, not to mention Blizzard split the WoW/Warcraft universe and considers most things in WoW to be noncanon, which just purely sucks.
I hope Blizzard puts back the 'W'in to 'W'arcraft in Warcraft 4.

Well next to StarCraft, my favorite game is WarCraft.

My brother introduced me to WarCraft I when I was really young and I liked it. Years later when WCIII came out, I really wanted to play it.

What I really love about WarCraft is the insane storyline. You're not sure on what will happen next and it is an incredible ride. Another reason why I love WarCraft is the gameplay, it is freakishly balanced and the guys from Blizzard did a tremendous job on balancing all of these unique races.

But for now, I've been modding WCIII and playing other people's maps.

I'm sorry, but Warcraft doesn't have a better storyline than a b category hollywood movie it's just presented much better. For some reason I think you haven't read any fantasy novels with a real storyline :p
I would also like to point out to that Blizzard did nothing out of ordinary with the balancing. They had ages to do so.

I bought warcraft 3 on the day it came out (I have collectors edition) because I loved the capabilities of the starcraft Scenario Editor.

So I figured since Warcraft 3 was the newest entry of blizzards strategy games, that it's editor would be even more powerful.

I was right, and even more impressed when the expansion was released.

The editor is the no.1 primary reason that I want to buy starcraft 2, with the storyline being second, and ladder matches third.
