What's with the "Entangle Gold Mine" ability?

So,yeah,I'm basically trying to create something from this ability,but it doesn't seem to be working. The spell works fine,the targeting and stuff. But when I cast it/AI cast it, the new entangled gold mine doesn't appear. It's just like using the Storm Bolt ability without it actually throwing a hammer and do its job. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

P.S, I need answers quickly before tomorrow

Did a bit of testing, the entangling unit needs to have a 'root' ability
