This tool originates from here

Current Version: v0.3.0
If you ever get tired of using separate programs to make the colored text you desire for your in-game text, this program is for you. Wc3CTGen stands for Warcraft 3 Color Text Generator, and it will allow you to generate color codes quickly and efficiently, allow you to preview your text with different backgrounds and foregrounds, and can generate gradient texts with the gradient wizard. Its pretty clear on how to use it, just use the menus provided at the top of the main window. Enjoy! Feedback is welcome!

Looks good the background images is a good idea!
Is there a tool to change the transparency of the text in there as that would help people who don't know the colour format.

As far as I know, you can't have transparent text using hexadecimal color codes alone...

where it says |cff at the start ff is the alpha value or transparency.

I wish I would have known that before. I'm not sure how I could preview the transparency though because the program, when you hit preview, parses/replaces |cff with <span style="color:#%">TEXT and |r with </span>. Its not the most efficient. I also don't know how to give text transparency in html/css.

Well I was told by multiple people that transparency in text doesn't work. So I didn't bother.

    From what I understand

WC3 color codes have the alpha channel in them
at the beginning instead of at the end like most other systems
    however it doesn't use them

so changing the alpha channel doesn't have an effect.
