- the worst idea is to have tomes in an aos map, is my opinion.
- aos maps need consumable slots, dota doesnt have and thats wrong, none likes sucrificing an item slot for a ward or whatever.
- masteries dont work correctly
- skills' damages/effects are standard, which is an old concept man.

dont want to sound underwhelming but i didnt find anything unique/special about it, uness you evolve the idea of the Masteries.

As per the Great Review Exchange, I want to review this map.

For Gameplay:

+ It starts off slow, but eventually picks up. It has an upgrade system that gives me the impression of talents for heroes, boosting damage, survival or casting abilities. I like the boosts you can get for clearing camps.
+ There is a lot of lore and descriptions in the quest dialog for players starting out.

- A lot of the spells for the heroes seem plain.
- The AI seems suicidal...


For Looks:

+ The map is very pretty! It's aesthetically appealing, and I like your decorations throughout the map. I notice some areas, like the northern part of the Guardians' base, there's some quarantined area. The map's terrain itself seems to tell a story.
+ I had trouble finding spelling or grammar errors. Found a couple though! "Different landscapes" in "Try Other Maps," and a lower case "i" in "About Map."
+ Custom hero models look good and make sense.

- The sounds played on hero death or at random start to get annoying later on into the game.


Bugs Found:
  • Game modes listed in the quest dialog do need a fix, but you are aware of it.
  • Soul Talisman has no DISBTN icon.

Summary:
  • The terraining of the map is awesome. It has a good layout and is the map's strong point.
  • I think you need to add a few more heroes, and look into re-doing a lot of the existing heroes' abilities. Try to add more synergy between their skills.
  • The AI is pretty basic. Don't rely on the AI.
All around, I am amazed at the terrain work, but the hero selection and abilities do need some improvements. Does the map have any way to teleport around the battlefield, but at a cost? That may be something to look into as well.

I'm glad to see your review. Your feedbacks are improving my map. I started work again for War of Argent 2 weeks Ago. Yes, map is soo huge for AoS type. Walking become boring on gameplay. I'll add teleport locations to map and improve some heroes and AI on next update. Thank you again!

Played and enjoyed as much as I could!
1) Terrain - can be better. The tilesets do not blend each other so good. Landscapes are stunning. 3/5
2) Heroes - quietly simple but easy to learn. Spells are interesting but again, quietly simple. 4/5
3) Items - well made, there can be made some builds but I think they do not fit the role of the heroes so much. 4/5
4) Combat - good, although there are too many creeps. If there are too many creeps, the PvP becomes minor. 3/5
5) Design of the map - well made, bases , lanes, everything is made well but the structures could be arranged in a different way to look better and the same in both bases so there's balances. 4/5

Overall the map is fun to play and quietly interesting. I saw some green boxes instead of the disabled buttons of icons (DISBTN) and the AI is not so harsh, quietly scared. My rating for your AoS is 4/5. Keep updating it :)

Awesome terrain, real hard work was put into it as much as I can see. Heroes are cool, their spells too, items the same. AI is kinda stupid but overall is ok. 4/5, keep working on it. :)

Well, here goes.
I tested the latest update. Extraordinary terrain, better spells, better heroes, better items, gameplay mechanisms are fine by me. The core of this AoS was extremely improved.
But, now for the negative parts that you must fix (really simple actually)
-the text that says the revival time of a hero. Now it shows 7.000 or 15.000 seconds that must be 7 or 15 seconds if I'm not wrong. What hero will have the respawn time 15.000 seconds? :))))
-several typos. Ex: Profession Weaponary must be Professional Weaponry , Transform into invisible must be Turns you/the hero invisible, It's a elven weapon must be it's an elven weapon...and some more (again, not a major bug but there would be many people that will criticize this.)
I see you imported many stuffs and now the AoS has a size of 27-28 MB. I did this too few months ago (there was League of Kalimdor if you actually wonder why I renamed my AoS again). I made it back to the size under 8 MB. Believe me, if you want your AoS to be played online more you need to restore it back to 8mb. Many W3 players stucked to patch 1.26 (mainly because of DotA 6.83d) so mods with higher size than 8mb will not be such an interest for them.
Aside from that, as I said at first it is a cool AoS, great gameplay mechanisms, the only problems are those typos. It deserves 5/5 even with those typos right now which I am sure you'll fix them for the next update. Good job!

Thank you friend. There are some minor bugs and uncompleted trigger events on latest version. I lost my game data and folders. Virus destroyed my computer and portable hard disc. I found my old folders and I'm trying to update that version from 0. :) Thank you again for your feedback. I will fix them as soon as.

Those are only minor bugs that can be fixed in a very short time, as I said.

-Loads of shops! A bit confusing.
-I liked the X on the mini map telling me where my heor was. More pinpointed than a globe.
-You have a small issue with your UI! In the bottom-right cornor, a small black square can be seen.
-Suggestion: Warn the player with a sound or an effect when the turrets are tergeting you.
-Executing minions was tricky.
-Interesting layout in the middle of the map! I like it.
-Beautiful turret projectiles!
-If you move your camera to the bottom-left of the map, you can see some ugly cliffs. Cover with trees?
-"Darkshade will revive in 17.000 seconds." Are the decimals really needed? You can fix this by using "display string (integear(real)).
-Terrain is mostly beautiful, but the cliffs placed aren't very good. I'm thinking of the area with the statues in the sun base here. Jsut north of that is also a random support colum among some old trees. Strange.
-I felt like my hero was really weak. Didn't feel very satisfying taking forever killing minions.
-Darkshade sleep abilitys its cooldown is .15 when you upgrade it.
-Mana Regen was crazy slow.
-Turrets have slow projectiles. They should be faster so you aren't attracting a lot before you even know you're the target.
-On the eastern slop after the second evil turret in that lane, there is a huge invisible pathing blocker.
-The turrets prioritation is really annoying. WHen is it attacking me and not?
-Oh my the villagers in the city is annoying. Perhaps remove their collision?
-The mist is kinda strange, sometimes jumping from blueish to redish with no clear reason why.
-The resource tooltips in the bar to the top-right are still displaying "gold is mined from gold mines" and "lumber" and "food", even though those seems to have other usese now?
-What does a summoning pit do? No message was displayed when I killed it. Just a 100 gold reward.
-There are downgoing cliff ramps in the evil abse, giving them a pretty big disadvatage, since there is like a 33%miss chance when attacking uphill.
-Eh. My own minions bodyblocked me locking me in with a turret that targeted me here...
-The bufficon from my "true night" ability is different from the ability icon.
-Units still spawn after victory.
-The score screen should be available for a much longer time. Forcing victory disables that. I like that there actually is a scorescreen though. :)
-Cool skins and models.
-The Evil base was really cool. My favoruite area for sure.
-Ice revenants passive was barely understandable.
-I expected the abilities to be more flashy. They often have very little visual appeal.

Main issues:
-Shop was really confusing.
-A bit too unclear with all the mist effects and the large variety of creeps. I could barely see the units at some points if the health bars were turned off.

Other than that, a beautiful AoS that is not your classic edit of DotA, but something much cooler. It has some issues still that could be improved upon, but general balance and gameplay feels pretty good.

Rufus, that UI is from Heroes of Newerth. It will show that black area on the corner if the video details are all under high level. If you set them all to high, it will appear normally. The same thing happens to that DotA 2 UI from here. If the details are not set on high...the map will crash while loading. (An advice for those who want to use that UI). The minions problem can be solved. He might create a trigger that makes the hero's movement to fly type when it is surrounded and cannot escape from the minions (only for those allied, and the duration of that flying movement to end instantly when the hero escapes) . The heroes seem weak at first and even in early game because the creeps are kinda stronger a bit. He must modify their strength in a way that in the early game, not more than 3-4 hits will be required to kill one of them. In that way, the heroes will farm correct and there will be balance and no creeps spamming at all :) . Damn, I should give myself a medal for what an AoS addict I am :)))

Minions are main objective on this map. They are strong and untouchable at early game. All players need to be careful at start.
Some players can use fountains to regain their mana. There is a little pvp on fountains.
Summoning pit summons dragons to your allies to crush enemy buildings. (Extra minion).
Gold coins and nature buffs is event on map. They spawn randomly every 70 seconds. Junglers can find treasures while hunting.
Towers are attacking random unit in current range. Enemy players have chance to kill player near at towers.

And thx for feedbacks. They will improve on next update. Have fun! :)

The Moon Ronin(not sure about the name but he's a guy with a tiger head)'s Blink Strike happens to teleports him eventhough I stopped mid-cast (spell is not start the effect yet). You might want to change the trigger's event to "Unit - Start the effect of an ability" event (I'm assuming you're not using that one).

You might want to change the trigger's event to "Unit - Start the effect of an ability" event (I'm assuming you're not using that one).

Dear Lord_Marrowgrath, can ur change Hero "Eye Of Kazghar" ability, i mean his full support, cant do anyting in PVP player vs player.And than ulti Spell like doom, its cant target to the heroes after high lvl.

-The minus still, Ai sometime stuck in some place.
-Some recipe not work, but we can buy instand when price enogh.

After all ur map is unique and enjoyble ;)

Here is a quick feedback on the map after a quick look at it

  • Add far camera options (if there isnt already)
  • Add option to remove the fog (if there isnt already)
  • REMOVE THE TOMES! Honestly i believe this is a very bad descision because ppl instead of trying to finish the game or just do proper group fights they will start grinding for gold to buy tomes. OR if u dont remove it, give a limit to how many tomes each player can buy, like 5 or so, dunno.
  • I like the heroes and their skills!
  • The mastery system needs revamp my friend. Right now in order to get HP mastery u first need to learn +armor but the thing is that maybe for my build i dont want armor, i just want HP, but im forced to spends my resoucres to stats i dont really want and this is not good design (no offense bro).
    So what i suggest is: have each statistic separaetly. So for example, if i want HP, i just learn the HP masteries, if i want HP rege, i will just learn the HP regen masteries. So basically instead of three columns you will have a lot more columns with different stats.
  • Add 2-3 slots for consumable items (consumable ONLY), like dota 2 did.
  • I really like how realistic the trees look and u can disappear in them! BUT if u have HP enabled (wc settings) you can still see the targets in the trees (correct me if i am wrong).

Hope i was helpful in some way.

-camera option is a unbalanced idea. Everyone will set option to far camera to sea much more area. It's pointless.
-Fog is main point to make gameplay harder. In nights, players cant see environment clear. It makes rush, stealth and ambush actions.
-Tomes prices will be much more than now. I decided to change tome prices to 5000 from 2000.
-I'm reworking on Masteries for 2.20 patch. It will be more option.
-I dont want to add consumable slots. Potions are only usable on early game. Dont want to change main point to consumables.
-Yea you right about trees. My main object is hiding behind trees. I'm searching new way for remove health bar from units or I will add invisible buff on trees like league of legends.

Anyway, thank you again for sharing your ideas.

-Well u dont have to add VERY far camera, just 1-2 more options for a little father, not much. Main reason being, units are kind of too big for the screen.
-I do agree that Fog can play its part in the gameplay aspect but fact is, its also blindling, like, it hurts the eyes. In every map i play, i disable fog, my eyes are worth more :) .
-Basically what i wanted to point out about Masteries is that forced builds arent a good idea (as i tried to explain).

You could add normal screenshots instead of these rusty ones. And make the description of the bundle look a bit more nice :)

Another lovely AoS! Love the terrain and the atmosphere made by that soundtrack. The heroes are nice and there is a large variety of items :D. The AI might be a bit easy to kill but is good for testing in singleplayer.
