He died for being infected by vaginitis, which he caught from Vash. In the end, he turned into one big pussy and couldn't kill his master, and where did that get him? Legato manipulated the guy, and Wolfwood ended up dying. Vash might have been able to take down Knives without that cross whose name fails to come up in my mind at the moment. After all, the only thing better than being assisted by the ghost of Wolfwood is fighting alongside him.

MSBB, you missed the entire point of Wolfwood not shooting him.
He easily could have, but decided not to. Even in the end, he feels no remorse for dying because he did the right thing.
It was a redemption of sorts.

I know. That's what I meant when I said he was a pussy.

Anyhow, it's not like I think his death is stupid. I'm just saying that Vash spread his pacifist beliefs unto him. He's still the coolest character in the anime to me, however.
