I'd be glad to help, what program are you using? It's a wee bit different process for every one.

Tools that can unwrap are:
oinkerwinkles vertex mod (not that good at it)
Max 5
milkshape

if you are just doing simple model editing and want to edit its unwrap i highly suggest you just use oinkerwinkles.

Go there though toolbars and there should be an option there to unwrap.

I must remind you, each geoset will be separate on their wrap, so that means you will only see them at a time..and..gah.. i hate explaining this, maybe someone will be better than me at this.

how to uv map with the vertex modifier

if your geoset is based on a wc3 model you need:the skin you want to uv map as jpeg/gif/bmp
and you need the usual skin of the geoset as jepeg/gif/bmp.

I will try to explain it with an example: ill try to add the ghoul skin to the murloc model[the images are at the end of the post(the model in the last two pictures already got some changes )]:

how to uv map at vertex modifier:

1.1:select tools
1.2:select uv mapping

2.1:select load image
2.2:choose the usual skin

you choose the usual skin because there are a lot of faces and you want to know which face uses which part of the skin.

3.choose the proposed skin to see where the faces should be.

But you should save the model often to see what it looks like.

I hope i could you =)
