I expected a little different units at least some of them because you know war2 and war3 are diff in units - only some have remained, in war3 totally different distribution among the races with the new races ofc. While in SC2 they didn't even add something more I think, just the same units, like the strategies will be the same either... those who have played SC&BW will find it easy to play here too.

Yeah but between wc2 and wc3 there are 20-25 years of peace , while in sc2 the storyline picks up right from he ending of BroodWar and actually if you think about it , Protoss have only the zealots and probes from the original starcraft and maybe the dark templars . . . untill now , the rest the of the units are totaly new (stalkers , immortals , mothership)

I think the most of the units will be different from the original, but only time will tell..
So far, we have Collosuses, Reapers, Phase Prisms, Banelings, Mothership, Warp Rays, Phoenixes, Stalkers, Immortals and those worms, that are new, and Battlecruisers, Ghosts, Marines, Dropships (I think), Zerglings, Zealots and Mutalisks, Siege Tanks, Probes and SCVs that are old...

I think they should add a hero system like in War3. It seems more appriate for units like the Ghost and whatever you want to call the unit Infested Kerrigan was to have level up powers and abilities. It would set off Starcraft as something else other then every other Sci Fi RTS. Warcraft 3 is the only RTS I know that successfully added heroes to the gameplay experience of RTS. I think there's something here that could easily be used.

No way!! Starcraft is a game about massing units, not heros and items. Starcraft is a totally different game than warcraft, so why make it just like warcraft? If u want heros, just play Starcraft on warcraft.

Btw: my favorite new unit for protoss is the Colossus!

Cease argueing you whiney fools, with some modeling skill someone could easily make most of the old SC- units, in fact i am sure someone is planning on doing just that. Since nearly everything is possible in the SC2 engin as was shown in the original StarCraft, why not just mod it in yourselves when it gets released or have you forgotten that there is a world builder comming with it.

*sigh* you got me, but still if you really wanted to, you could change every map that came with the game to have them... still though your right..
