I write this with uncontrollably shivering fingers, vibrating under the effects of the adrenaline which flows through: My map has been removed unjustly, without any reason, from this website!

Many months of extremely, incredibly hard work have been crushed to nothing but sorrow and grief. I'm pretty sure no-one will ever bother to listen to the lamentation of this already depressed, frustrated victim of unjustice and the tyranny of VGsatomi, but I could simply not resist to show my frustration and disgust.

I was hoping that shaping a map would make me feel a little bit less depressed, but the cruel Goddess Fortuna, who seeks to torment and toy with the brittle remains of my faith, foresaw this as well.

You can now insult and offend this poor misfit - which will, of course, be allowed by the just and watchful moderators, to your heart's content!

Also, i would you to hear VG's explanation before deciding how far this will go.

I received a message from VGsatomi, saying that my map was removed from the site because of violation of the rules. She did not reply to my polite question: "Excuse me, but what rule did I violate?". I read the list of rules with attention, but did not find any rule I violated.

Sigh. Why would I care that my map has been removed? It was, despite the endless work I put into it, worthless; A terrible waste of time.

Now, i know (and have seen) many cases where users have been very offensive, after having one of their resources removed. It inevitably turns out that there was a reason for it (in these cases, the users cannot fathom what rule they might have violated)
I have not seen a case where there was no reason a thing was deleted.

I'm not judging here, just trying to set things into perspective.

What are laws for? To punish and hurt people?
Violators of the laws are threatened or punished to prevent them from violating the laws again. In this matter, society attempts to prevent iself to become chaotic.

But, when society punishes its people so harshly and unjustly, society becomes chaotic as well. Civilians revolt. The gouvernment falls.

Also, there's no point in punishing someone if you do not tell the person in question what what law he violated. How am I to respect the laws if I never receive any warning?

VGsatomi, in my insight, is only causing chaos and disorder here.

I've read that people who abuse their power or can not use their power correctly lack in intelligence. Honestly, this is a fact, not an opinion.

You must not expect me, VGsatomi, to keep my mouth until you ban me. That will confirm my claim.

I am not the one to judge the quality of your resource in particular (that would require me to see it first ) but lets await more opinions.

However, i don't see any abuse in deleting a map. He is using the powers that were entrusted to him as a mod. So he used them, not abused.
If a mod is abusing his power, he would delete a resource(s) due to personal reasons. As i see it here, this is not the case.
You mentioned yourself, that he said you violated the rules, if he had deleted it following the ruleset, it would not be an abuse, would it ?

GVsatomi did not only remove my map, but also prevented me from submitting any maps in future. When I tried to submit another map, it was deleted instantly.

I also strongly doubt that maintaining this site costs a lot of money.

4. A judge does not weigh the crimes of an individual against the heroic deeds of an individual. I am new here, and never even noticed any positive property of VGsatomi.

What was the map about? You are obviously the one who is hurt, I felt the same when my skins were deleted. Try to PM him again, or try to find him in IRC chat. It's too bad that your map got deleted, but Saikann has a point. VGsatomi is great guy, lots of mods may seem cruel *cough* Tiki *cough* but they are nice guys. I was mad at Sansui for awhile, but I got over it. Try to improve your map and then try again. If you submitted the same map after it was deleted then it will automaticly be deleted. I doubt that he can or even would block you from submitting. Talk to oz02 or Darky28 if you have a moderator issue. Hop I can help, -Konblade.

A lot of people - including my beta testers - admired my efforts. Thus, it has nothing to do with the quality of my map.

I'm talking about discrimination of people. It might surprise you to learn, but discrimination is considered as wrong.

Those who cause a little bit problems here, are unjustly discriminated. Sometimes even simply, haphazardly and permanently banned.

I accuse GVsatomi for abusing her power. I consider that as a crime.

I submitted a newer, improved version of my map recently, which got deleted as well. Not automatically.

Have you ever heard of this thing called "democracy"? The laws are modifed and adjusted often when they are considered as wrong or unjust.

The laws on this forum are way too harsh. It can be compared to the executions in the United States. If the majority of the population would vote dead sentences to be forbidden, it certainly would be forbidden.

I think you are jumping to conclusions very quickly here. Perhaps VGsatomi forgot to tell you why he deleted your map, and he hasn't had a chacne to return your PM. Did you ever think of that? I believe not.

As for the site rules, in my opinion they are too lenient. If I had my way there would only be a warning and then permanent bans. You have to thank Darky for adding in that extra part of a week long ban. I also wrote a lot of the site's rules and I think they are very easy to pass through. I would like a direct quotation from the rules of a part that is strict in any way.

That is most definitely wrong. There is absolutely no descrimination here. Everything follows a set guidelines, there is no pick and choose. Furthermore, the guidelines do not point at anyone in specific. It is general and everything in it applies to every single user of this site. There never have been anyone permanently banned "haphazardly". Permanent bannings all rely on the rules to back them up, and if you have any ban that you believe is done out of discrimination please point it out. Ther most probably is a reason behind it, wether you know it or not.

In conclusion, I believe that you somehow got the idea in your head that you have been wronged greatly, without even understanding the reason behind it. Maybe try waiting for VGsatomi to give you an answer by PM or post, and then you can judge. If you everfind a problem like this that you are sure about, PM either myself or Darky about the issue, instead of getting the whole forum involved in your private problem.

I assure you VGsatomi didn't delete your map for personal reasons. If he did, I'm sure the other map moderators would know. Discuss this with satomi likewise.

Please pardon me for not replying quickly, but I could have sworn I disussed this with you the last time I removed a map from you...

Here is the rule you broke:

Regarding duplicate maps: If you have a new version of your map, simply replace the older map through the update-resource option. DO NOT simply submit the map over and over again. If there are more the one versions of the same map, such as your map page looking like this:

xxxxxxxx v1.4
xxxxxxxx v1.3
xxxxxxxx v1.2
xxxxxxxx v1.1
xxxxxxxx v1.0

These previous, "obsolete" maps will be deleted. Only the most recently submitted or highest version one will be kept.

When you updated your map, you forgot to remove your older one, or you forgot to submit OVER your older one. There is absolutely no rewason to have multiple versions of the same map on this site. You newest version IS STILL ON THE SITE like i promise every user who does this. Its even in the choice section of all places. Do you not check up on your own maps?? Since everyone knows that only the newest version will continue to receive downloads, I remove the older, obsolete version for the following reasions:

A: to remove non-downloaded clutter, and so users dont have to see the same map on every map page.

B: saves space for Darky which in turn costs him less money to maintain the site. When maps are 500kb to 4 megs a piece, deleteing several hundred obsolete maps like I've done can save a huge ammount of space)

C: removes potential confusion regarding map verions.

Want a perfect, shining example of what I'm trying to prevent? go to warcraft.org and look at their map seciton. They have over 2000 maps in their archive, but you'll see maps posted 10, 20, even 30 times over. They may have 2000 maps, buy probably only 600 DIFFERENT maps. As long as I am a map mod here, I will not let that happen at wc3sear.ch.

If I'm correct, which is, as I just proved once again, very unlikely, I removed the older version of my map a while after submitting the newer version. Or perhaps I was about to do so, only to find it deleted already.

Whether when your resource has been deleted, and you know your hard work has been placed into it, you just need to obey what rule you broke and then you can resubmit it. Its not a big task, its for your own good.

This reaction also indicates that you haven't read the entire topic yet. There should no longer be discussed about this dumb, foolish mistake of mine. Thus, your post is much rather irrelevant and irritating then mine.

This post is also very arrogant, petulant and pejorative. This is clearly and directly an intentional violation of the forum's laws.
