So I have been trying to recolor the mountain giant's taunt effect and everything seems to come along nicely up until the point at which i have to save the new edited model as a .mdx file.

Strangely enough the model shows up perfectly fine in War3ModelEditor when it is saved as .mdl but as soon as i save it as a .mdx the effect itself becomes invisible.

I have edited models like this before - without any problems whatsoever, and as such I am clueless. I have attached all the files below:

View attachment TauntCasterEDIT.mdl
View attachment TauntCasterEDIT.mdx

Please send help :(

Hey WaterKnight, thank you for your answer. Are there any work arounds to this problem? Everytime I save the model it sets the alpha to 0 once again so I reckon that I've got to do something else? Maybe a different .mdl -> .mdx converter?

Regarding which forum to post in: I thought this would be the right place to ask for help - regardless of the topic. When I quickly looked through the modelling forum it seemed like more of a place for people to showcase their work and get suggestions/feedback.
But now that you mention it I do guess that my issue technically belongs in the modelling section so if a moderator sees fit it'd be much appreciated if he'd move the thread to the modelling forum (that's how it works, right?)

EDIT: Yep, a different .mdl -> .mdx converter did the job. Thanks once again WaterKnight.
