The Game

The game is easy to understand. You pick a hero and a race. You construct buildings, that spawn units and that will attack the enemy base automatically. Level up your hero and try to destroy the enemy team's castle. That's it ;-)

Features

AoS Game Play - Units spawn regularly in your base and attack the enemy base. Like in so many other AoS-maps the goal is to destroy the enemy main building, which is in the case a castle.

Castle Fight Game Play - At the beginning of the map, before choosing your hero, you can select a race. Each race has its own units, its own traininghalls and its own special building. You can up-grade up to Tech-3 spawning enabling you to spawn some extremely powerful and giant units.

Castle Spells - Each kill gives you gold and lumber. Lumber can be used to cast so called 'Castle Spells'. Your team's castle is able to cast some really mighty spells in exchange for lumber. Due to this spells, this game, I dare say, is well balanced, because even if the enemy army is bashing your base, you always can save your-self by using those mighty spells.

Areas - In each of the three lanes, there are 2 areas for each team. When you conquer an area, it increases your army by either one footman or one archer for each area. Additionally, areas grant armor and damage bonus to allied units. If there is a difference between the amount of areas owned by the two teams, the team having less areas gets an increased gold income.

Variable Game Settings - The host can change the most important game options: regular income (yes/no; how much...), hero experience rate (from 60% to 140%), Food Limit (each building needs one food, so the host can set how many buildings each player is able to build), start gold and start lumber.

Bounty System - Each kill your hero increases his or her bounty. When he or she gets killed by an enemy hero, the killing hero's owner will get your hero's bounty.

I created races one of them you can choose at the beginning of the map, before selecting your hero. Each race is different and has advantageous and drawbacks.

Here you can you choose one of the available races (or a random race).

[​IMG] Alliance of Benders - A mighty race that allows you to spawn elemantal units like water or ocean elementals, phoenixes, stone golems, etc.

[​IMG] Ancients - This race is composed of extremly mighty tank units that are expensive but strong.

[​IMG] Burning Legion - Very expensive and slow-spawning units. But all of them have chaos damage which gives them an important advantage when facing divin-armor units.

[​IMG] Humans - The standard race of all AoS games. Quite balanced.

[​IMG] Engines - The mechanical race. All of their units are mechanical type units, which makes them unvulnerable against a lot of organic based spells. Most of them have less hitpoints but divin armor.

[​IMG] Naga - With the humans the second standard race. Quite balanced but at the middle game kind of strong thanks to their lord of the tides.

[​IMG] Skeletons - The rushing race. Some of their units spawn in double-teams. They have less lifepoints but in mass, especially during the eraly game, they are really strong.

Version 0.22 - Hero 'Rook' removed, New Hero (Ancient Warrior), New Item, The Area Stone in the middle lane next to the Team-South canon towers was moved up north to get it out of the range of the canon towers, some typos were corrected (not all -> special thanks to FriendlyHost),

    From the screen shots, especially in the castes/bases, the terrain is really lacking. All the same tile with little to no doodads makes it look ugly.

    gameplay-wise it looks good, for terrain, add more variation... and I was just thinking why its called Titans of War... ^_^

    Did you play the map? I don't think so because then you wouldn't have said this. The castle needs to be empty so that you can build traininghalls. The empty area is gonna be filed up with player-owned buildings during the game.
    And by the way, I used a customized terrain tile.

    Why I called the game "Titans of War"? Because the units get bigger and bigger with the game. Especially the Tech-3 units are really huge.

    well, he said "judging from the screenshots" so it means he did not play it...

    anyway, add tile variation to the castle part especially on the grassy area, its too mono-tiled...

    Pretty bland gameplay, I'll give it a 2 for now until you add something that actually makes it different from crappy old dota.

    apparently you neither read the presentation nor played the game. You can build traininhalls that spawn units... I can't remember having seen this in Dota!
    And just because it's an AoS doesn't mean that it's like Dota...

    There are a lot of problems in this map.
    Sea Giants are way too strong, they can easily kill all of the towers.
    Cannon towers should have much more health.
    Items should be greatly improved, and balanced.

    Other than that, this is the most creative AoS I've ever played.
    Awesome heroes, awesome building ability (even though it's rigged), and awesome terrain.
    I rate this map 4/5, awesome work. :goblin_yeah:

    Looks like a good new input in AoS's. But i have one question and it directed at the entire WCIII map-making world. Why, oh why do we still have so many maps in german/korean/japanese/etc. If we have so mnay maps in said languages we should know enough of what they mean to translate it.

    I don't get your point... my map is entirly in english... it's just my wc3 that is in German cause I was too lazy to get the english version.

    thx yeah I will give them more lifepoints. but I find the sea giants aren't actually that strong. They are extremly expensive and they just last 100 seconds. ^^

    Make the Control Stones have Structure type armor!
    Replace Up-Grade with Upgrade.
    I think the Space Marine should be Intelligence type, because all of his abilities are damage spells.
    I also think heroes should have more increased damage as the level up, for instance my Level 1 Space Marine had 25 damage. When he was Level 6, he has 31 damage.
    Remove the spells that the "Remover" unit has, their are already a lot of spells. The "Summon Defenders" spell is especially rigged.
    Many sentences don't end with a period.
    Heroes shouldn't be able to spawn kill, of which they can if the Castle isn't attacking them.
    Most of the items have very poor quality.

    Regarding the Castles:
    I think you should make lumber should be a lot cheaper to buy. The things you buy with lumber should be much weaker than what they are now, they should only help a little. Like the Battle Cry spell, or whatever it's called should only help by a few percent, under 10%. I think the Sea Giants are rigged because even though they cost a LOT, in the beginning of the game, you can set the Lumber to 300. 300 is enough for Sea Giants, which can (and almost inevitably will) destroy the first 4 towers in each row. This can flip the tide of the game with 1 click.

    Well, I changed the "poor quality" of the items by balancing them, by creating a new type of item (crafted items) and by changing their descritpion, trying to make it look more "professional". Anyway, I did not change the stats of the sea giants because when I played on garena, the sea giants weren't actually that strong. And all depends on how the host sets the game options (I always play with 160% hero exp, 1000 start gold, 35 start lumber, 1 gold income, 3 food).

    I also add a new castle spell: the unholy protectors. I don't think they are too strong.

    And I just see that I forgot to replace Up-Grade by Upgrade ... sorry ^^
    Well, as you can see, I made more or less all the changes you asked for (exept for the "rigged" builder spells.)

    Aos maps has been populating the hive a lot recently , I do not know if this is a good thing or a bad thing .. Anyways I might depict this as an offspring of DotA(no offence).
    But hey , you did a good job

    Awesome loading screen. Circles of power are better.
    The description for the Moon Crystal is very bad. I also don't think it's very balanced.
    Summoner's Staff: replace "mur'locs level 3" with "Murlocs". Also, some items still say "u-pgrade", like most of the upgradeable items.
    Mask of Death: Replace "Grands" with "Grants". Replace "You" with "Your". The description is very bad. Give the Mask a new name and icon, "Mask of Death" is not very creative! It makes the game seem less professional.
    Bracelet of Life: replace "1hp restored per second (HP-Regeneration)" with "Increases the Heroe's hit point regeneration by 1 hit point per second." or something similar.
    If an item has no "ability", why even say it has "no ability"?
    Repair: Highlight "Costs 100 gold".
    Owleye: His Black Hole spell's 3rd level description says: "350 110 damage", what does that mean?
    All items: Replace "purchase" with "Purchase".
    Amulet of Holy Light: Remove the word "feet", distance in WC is not "feet".
    Dwarven Hammer: Very bad description.
    There should be a separate shop for consumable items, like the "Life Potion".
    Instead of "Team _", it says "Spieler "12" or "Spieler 6"
    Almost all of the hero spells in this game are poor, for instance a lot of them are very basic. Make the spells unique!
    Fun game, still, with many flaws. 4/5, very fun anyways!
