I was thinking about having triggers that can track down the actual time from the computer. Is it possible?

Nope, not by GUI.

It's kinda locked in setting of PC, without assistance of special third parties for this task, I doubt it's possible.

You could have the players specify what time it is with player chat, and then go from there.

Nope. But Sharpcraft can. I requested the OS lib to be implemented to Sharpcraft which the lib was made by TriggerHappy.

Correct. But i think TriggerHappy has a solution to it.

Opps I think we are getting out of topic. Is there anyway for my map to detect the current time of the player's computer? Not about multiplayer.

No, WC3 cannot know the real time of computer or server or anything else.
A user can TYPE the time to do it but you cannot keep track of it as TriggerSleepAction is inaccurate and timers run Game-Based.

Sharpcraft (afaik) can do that.
Sharpcraft is a WC3 Hack that allows additional features that arent possible in WC itself.
Sharpcraft does not work with WC3 together so multiplayer breaks if not all players use Sharpcraft. (I have to find out what TriggerHappy has to say about that.)

So do you want to use Sharpcraft or do you want to skip the real time stuff?

I will do whatever to make the real time. As long as anyone who played it will have that feature.

The answer you want is in the thread comments.
GUI/Jass can't do that.
Sharpcraft may can, but is not known so much among the wc3 community.
You maybe end up creating a map, which only few selected players can play.
( those who know Sharpcraft and have it installed ).
