are there any channeling spells that dont require a target?

im trying to have my spell have more drastic effects the longer i channel it, but it effects the caster.....i dont know if i can use channel for this but i kinda doubt it :/

Use the ability called Channel. Set 'Follow through time' to the max channel time you want, tick the 'Visible' under 'Options', and set the target type to 'Instant cast'. Then do the others with GUI... If your question is "How to?", then ask, i'll anwser.
