Ardenian: A dark atmopshered cinematic with sometimes confusing on-goings.
The environment is well-designed with one or another flaw
( e.g. statue floating in the air, you could remove its bottom part via model edit, so it looks as supposed, standing on the wall)
The voice acting is nice and the story shows there is a lot of potential lore behind the cinematic.

Please change the map name, it is too long to show up in Warcraft 3.
After you changed it, the map can be approved.

One of the best cinematic I've seen I must say...
I love that moment around 1:35 when you see that beast lurking in the dark. Also the king / talking skull. Superb.
The only negative thing I can say is that the tiles in the courtyard in the opening was a little bleak.

Anyway...

As much as I'd want it to have a metaphysical meaning, it's just left for unthoughtful interpretation. The atmosphere and visual ambiance are the main show.

It is won the third place of a contest, I will watch the previous two...
This cinematic is awesome... I can not find words for this.

Story is little and there are no plot holes or plot errors.
Plot as I remember:
The young prince returns to check and repair the errors of his father, the Fourth someone maybe Alexander. He finds his home ruined, there are an undead here, maybe narrator, who is ignored by the prince. The Prince enters the castle and find only death in it. He met with his older-brother transformed to a powerful and large being. They discuss the fate of their families. Our prince moves forward to the throne room and atop the bones, he saw his father... a skeletal king. The King tell him, that he and his sister can flee from here and begin a new life from far away the rotten kingdom.

Story: 4/5 or 5/5 (hesistating) It is simple, but understandable and clean.
Environment: 5/5
Music 4/5, it is silent a bit...
Cinematic/Transmission style also very unique and sounds deserves a bonus point!

Beautiful! This cinematic gave me huge Berserk vibes, i would have loved to see more "battle" scenes and dodging monster guards in clever ways, but i know creating only a few minutes of this takes a huge amount of time and effort.
Thanks for creating this and i hope you will make more in the future!

@Blasterixx Thanks! That's a huge compliment! I was very much inspired by Berserk when I made this. I have another Berserk-esque story that I want to tell, but I want to create it in Reforged.

I feel you on the lack of more intense scenes. I had to cut a whole lot due to time constraints sadly (dialogue, action etc)

Just rewatched this after playing Red Raven.
Do you plan to continue the story of Roderick in an RPG akin to Red Raven, since Amadeus and him are from the same universe and Silent Songs is an extension of Rhoswen's degradation or a place within the kingdom?

@deepstrasz The fact that you were able to connect them fills me with tremendous joy! That's awesome.

I would love to explore the fate of Roderick, although I'm torn on how I want to go about it. He originally played a greater role in Red Raven (if I remember correctly I wanted him to be the final boss, protecting his sister's grave), but in the end I chose to focus on new characters (the Ravens and the Old Sorcerers).

Well, from the looks of it, Roderick shouldn't be a tragic character at least in the evil sense.

I agree, so it would rather have something to do with his drive to protect his younger sister, a will that would persist even after death. I had this idea reaaally early on, and scrapped it pretty quickly (it wouldn't make much sense, or have the same weight as fightning the enigmatic "Preceptor").

We'll see what happens down the line
