Oh my GOD! That was Insanly good! 5/5 !
I hope the real deal is EVEN better!

Only things i dislike is Narrator, Gabriel and Baxters voices-
And if Baxter is going to be main character, you should get a voice actor for him to- His not very loud, and Gabriel (Misha) Is kinda hard to understand.

Elsewhere = :thumbs_up:

Excellent Cinematic Buddy!!

There are still tons of areas you can improve on though :p

One thing which is of course optional but which would make your cinematic a lot better, would be to get a proper voice actor for all your charakters, the "computer" voices sound really fake lol.

Some of the grammar is still bad, but you can't do much about it anymore, considering you've already got the voice overs for everything :/

Consider increasing the far Z of all your camera's, in some parts of your cinematic the scene just suddenly "cuts off", which has a bit of a weirdish effect, if you increase the far Z this will stop but (may for people with older computers) lead to slower playback and even some lag.

The Terrain is really good, it captures the moment well and does a great job with realism, and the atmosphere and general environment is pretty great as well :p

Music Choice was excellent also, and all your non generated voices were really good, the acting was realistic and fitted well to the characters.
Great Job all in all, I hope to see the completed version soon, and the campaign after it :D :D :D

I'll give this a 4 / 5,
mainly because of the issues listed above ;)

Don't forget that you can greatly reduce filesize by decreasing the quality of the voices and the music (use a program like Audacity), because atm it's extremely large, even though it has so much music and custom voices in it...

First, the narrator sounds like a robot. You could have asked your girlfriend or just any girl to do that, or just do it yourself. But that voice drives one crazy.
The characters (except for that three headed dog) speak too slow. It's ... like ... they ... will ... never ... finish. Also, Garbriel is somehow like a bad actor. His text is somehow ... strange.

Then, the story is confusing: Shouldn't Hades be glad that all the humans are sinful and bad? I mean, he lives in hell, and Christians believe that hell is the worst place to be. So, I don't really get why he wants to wipe out the humans (using methods that are way worse than what the humans did).
Also, when Hades and Gabriel talk (but that's just a minor thing), meteors are falling down and sometimes hit them.
That's what I just sporadicly can think of, there is more.

Here are my thoughts about your cinematic, Septimus.

Positive/good sides
  • The best part was when Hades made a magic turning whole landscape to black. Nice effect there. Good job.
  • Some of the terrain were nice. For example the beginning's waterfall place.
  • Some of the voice actors were quite good.
  • Musics were fine.
  • A lot of camera movements, it makes the cinematic more fresh.
Negative/bad sides/should be improved
  • Narrator's voice was too "robotic".
  • Some of the texts were not spoken(at the beginning).
  • Some of the terrrain was not so good.
  • Most of the fights were just: "attack, attack and attack".
  • It's a good thing to put camera to move, but not all the time. I think you moved the camera too much. Very rare to see this. :D
  • Sometimes units just stopped moving(because you used animations and forget to use after animations "reset animation of unit").
After all, you have to remember that you are becoming better everyday. If you have enough patient, your cinematic/campaign will be great. Why not the greatest? You just need to listen people, they will tell what to improve.

Let's have an example. When I first released my campaign. Everyone just said it was bad etc etc, but then I updated it very often, and now it have become great! And it's still becoming greater! I hope this will happen to your projects also.

i personaly prefer-> Blizzard Campaigns!
You know this Rexxar campaign...
All other campaigns ive seen were just crap (all on hive) so i think RPG style is just out...If the campaign isnt so perfect like this Orc campaign-but why not trying to do something good? bang

EDIT:
but i hope Sept. will rule it! update and fix the points Aero said!

Lol define suitable. With a microphone, some passion, and a good program, u can do most voice acting. If ya like, I can fill in both parts but unless someone else eventually take's up the position, I'll gladly present it to them since I already have a roll.

there a part where the text said "we should see, we should see" where you actually meant "we shall see"
camera moving too fast and often and many scenes could be shorten with faster sound.
terrain seem too systermatic which kill the natural look
other negative points are raised above ><
but overall cool cinematic

The first beautiful shot at terrain,
brought my mind thinking this is going to be good, than The narrator started talking.
Sounds like you used a damn robot, My god. its horrible! Especially when it says There, those 3 times and it sounds the same each time.
Kerberos sounds like a Asian robot or something, =/
Which also reminds me, Leave the camera alone every now and than, I'm trying to focus on the guy talking, and your swinging the camera around like a mad man.

Also,
When he turns the nice forest into a dead land, you could at least have some dead trees up.
I felt your terrain start to lack right there out of what I had seen so far. =/

I Stopped watching after that, The narrator's voice made me want to kill myself. =/

It is not easy to find a good voice actor. What do you expect ? If you can make a better voice for it, I would be grateful to have it. If you read my post, you would notice I were still finding a voice actor for narrator.

As for the Kerberos, I receive lot's of positive feedback from it. If you think it was bad, you should have told zombie2279 about it.

Camera should be moving to give it a nice and prospective look. What else do you expect ? Who the hell would be interested to see a cinematic where the camera just stay at the same position all the time ?

Yes, that is very true and you are right. It is always better to move camera, than let it be in one spot. However, moving cameras is not always needed. Such as events where is a conversation. If a guy says like 4 second long speech, you can simply let the camera be in one spot. Give him few animations and the cinematic is still great, even if you don't move the camera for short of time.

I hope I gave you some ideas.

The premise is kind of flawed. Nature/the universe's harmony/disorganized chaos is just a balance of life and death, the transformation of energy. What I'm saying, is that everything that happens today is basically the same but at a higher level of awareness. Do you think animals like being eaten and feel no pain? It's all evil from the start. Humanity is only aware of it.
2.5/5.
"Halt demon! What is your intention?" Aside being pretty much obvious, a meteor fell on the mage/priest and nothing happened
-Hades, Gabriel, yep, something is not right
-descended on Earth? From where? I thought Tartarus was underground
-other meteors fall on Hades and his pup, nothing happening
