Just a short story I paragraph for Hawkwing so he accepted me in his "Warcraft Chronicles" Project.

The trail was still fresh: the beast had passed through this place just a few hours ago. Orik raised his head, sniffed the air. The scent of nearby wolves was brought by the wind, but he ignored them. He had a clear objective: Arsharka, a female white bear that had been terrorising local ram herders lately. He had been following Arsharka for a week already, since he had found her track near Kharanos, and today was the day: Orik would strike down the beast and claim his reward...
After a few hours, he finally saw his prey: the mighty bear was resting under a tree. Adrenaline started to flow through his veins, the thrill of the hunt was starting to invade him. He loaded his gun, knowing that he would only have one chance to shoot down the noble creature; if he missed, he would have to fight her with his axe, a fight he could not win. But the scars on his body reassured what most Khaz Modan knew: Orik was a hunter, a hunter with years of experience behind him: he would not miss.
He raised his gun, aimed, shot... and hit the creature in the chest. He had expected that blood would have come spurting out: he was sure that the bullet had reached the heart, but the fur around the hole remained white and clean. He came closer, his axe in one hand, until he could touch the body by only extending one of his arms. He tried pushing the beast with a boot, but nothing happened. He came even closer to only confirm what he suspected: the bear was dead, long before his projectile reached her body. Only then he noticed something: the tree under which the bear was lying was covered in strange symbols... symbols recognised.
He had been a soldier in the Third War, and all the demons that he had seen carried these symbols, one of which appeared in every piece of armour: a horned skull engulfed in flames: the symbol of Archimonde. But the war had ended 3 years ago, Archimonde was dead and the demons defeated. Why there were demonic symbols of such power in middle of the mountains of Khaz Modan? Only the ancestors could know.
Orik decided that it would be wise to inform Ironforge immediately. He turned round only to find a sword heading at his unprotected neck.
