I think this is the part where technology goes too far with trying to put many possibilities in a single device, without implementing each possibility properly. It just costs like hell and does nothing.

For example, I have a mobile phone that can play mp3s, it has a camera, you can view videos in it, you can go to the crappy mobile internet....and I don't want any of those things, for example:
  • camera - the quality sucks and there is no point in using it, if you want to take photos you can get a camera, you'll be much happier
  • mp3 player -ok if you have headphones, but there's too little space for me to put at least most of the stuff I wanna listen, I can get a shuffle if I want to listen to music
  • internet - it's better if I don't say anything here, because it's so obvious
  • video player - supports crappy format, not enough memory
But hey, if I want more memory, I can just buy tons of memory cards, yaaay... -.-

The thing that annoys me the most is that you can only buy a phone with at least 3 things you don't want, but you still have to pay for it.

Now, about Pomegranate:
  • projector - well, nothing much to say here
  • global voice translator - yeah, I can see how well the sentences would be constructed like, something like using those free online translators, if you want to speak to someone, learn english, don't talk in a translator without knowing what the other person will hear
coffee brewer - err, no...I don't even want to give comments on this
  • shaver - takes too much batteries, you have to clean it later too, gilettes are better anyways
  • harmonica - stuff like these really take the beauty out of instruments, any good musician will hate this feature
  • it is similar to something I discussed with my brother the other day about using a computer for everything and forgetting even how to write on a paper, but he didn't agree with me
The battery will run out before you can even say "pom".

Oops, I dropped my pomegranate in the water, well, it's a good thing I had all those valuable files in single device that can just fall out of my pocket. I'll just buy another one which costs like my house.

This is not a good thing, automatizing everything makes people more dumb. Very few people know how to use technology properly. This will just generate more idiots, that's all.

People don't walk when standing on escalators because they think they aren't allowed to! How dumb is that ffs??

Just a digression: an inventor tried to make a machine that peels an apple for you...the invention failed, of course, mostly because the machine would get dirty pretty soon, and it takes you more time to clean it than just peel the damn apple for yourself. There is a list of other things that makes that invention such a fail, but that's not important.

On the other hand, the washing machine is a great invention! It really makes things a lot easier, but people get used to it and then they don't even feel like putting the clothes in it, which takes them 15 min max. But it's still a good invention. I don't need a calculator in it, a movie player and whatnot.

Well, that's all from me.
