Not sure what to put for this, but I'd say until everyone finishes, despite being that there's a maximum. Cavman, Werewulf, Dionesiist, and I will discuss it

Model-specific conditions:

File size: Irrelevant

Polycount: Anything considered medium to high poly

Other: The model shall be monster themed and be a scene (picture) Animating is not needed for this unless you want it to pose your model


Texture-specific conditions:

File size: Irrelevant

Other: Can include bump maps, displacement maps, normal maps, textures, etc.


Other challenge conditions:
Details: Another condition would be that we would make this as fair as possible and help each other out if we are unable to do certain things. I want little to no handicaps here :D

Also, you must have at least one WIP picture of your model as well as a final product picture. A 360 rotation GIF is an optional inclusion, but would be preferred

Um... is this a modeling challenge? If so the "final product" would have to be a .mdx file, not pictures.

It looks like 'wulf has yet to pick up the gauntlet, SuPa-: you might consider sending out a PM.

This challenge is approved, has begun and shall conclude on 27 February, 2008 at 00:00 (GMT).

Sorry guys: open duration challenges are not permitted, however, I've alloted three weeks for this one.

The victor shall receive 20 reputation points.

A public poll shall determine the winner (unless all challengers request a judge, in which case I will appoint one).

I've been working on it for 2 hours so far since around 4 AM (right now it's 6 AM)
The reason it's "upright" like a humanoid right now is because it's easier to model that way, and the monster is a biped anyway
I used TDR's giant model WIP as a reference for the muscles and stuff

Well, good news.

As SuPa knows, I was freaking out a bit casue I thought i'd have to drop out due to school stuff. Well, not it's almost the exact opposite, I'm gonna dothis cause of school. I'm gonna "teach a class" about modeling, and the thing I'm gonna make in the class is, my monster, which I'm finaly gonna start over the weekend. Now, I'm not qualified to teach everything about modeling, but I can atleast teach the basics. Besides, I don't really care if they get good at it, I just wanna graduate.

Anyway, here's my *cough* final (yea right) *cough* submission. I was too lazy to make it a real texture... for some reason I'm just not enjoying texturing that much right now and I model/texture for fun so if it's not fun I won't do it xD. I'll probably get 4th place with this hunk of poo poo
